To empower Rural Ghanaian artisans and bring sustainable, handcrafted beauty into conscious homes in Finland and other parts of Europe.
To become a recognized ethical décor brand that places artisan women at the heart of everything we do, honoring their craftsmanship, preserving their cultural heritage, and creating lasting opportunities for their families and communities.
Rooted belonging, slow living, and authenticity come alive in Nokupa through meaningful design, handmade craftsmanship, and a commitment to giving fairly, shaping every piece we create and every partnership we nurture.
Weaving as an art, has been in existence for centuries. Women in rural Ghana and Kenya still use these techniques today to make bags and baskets for the modern day woman. However, their livelihood is not greatly impacted because mass production is not possible and public awareness of this craft is limited. At Nokupa, we aim to change this narrative and help bring awareness of this beautiful work.
Supporting Artisans one Thread at a Time
In the heart of Rural Ghana, amidst the rich tapestry of its culture and tradition, lies a community of skilled artisans whose craft has been passed down through generations. Their intricate handiwork creates beautiful woven baskets and bags, each telling a story of tradition, heritage, and resilience.
